Privacy Policy
How Fully Versed collects, uses, and protects your information across our websites and mobile applications.
Effective: May 7, 2026 · Last updated: May 7, 2026
1. Who this policy covers
This Privacy Policy applies to all software and services offered by Fully Versed (“Fully Versed,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), including the website at fullyversed.com and all mobile applications we publish on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Our current and forthcoming apps include, without limitation:
- Fully Versed Bible Tracker
- Fully Versed Memory
- Fully Versed Prayer
- Any other Fully Versed-branded application we release
We refer to these collectively as the “Services.” By using the Services you agree to the practices described below. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
2. Summary (TL;DR)
- Most of your data stays on your device. Reading progress, bookmarks, memory verses, prayer entries, and similar content live in a local database on your phone or tablet by default.
- Cloud features are optional. If you choose to sign in, we back up and synchronize your data using Google Firebase so you can restore it on another device.
- We do not sell your personal information. Ever. Not to advertisers, brokers, or anyone else.
- We show ads in some apps. Ads are served by Google AdMob, which uses limited device identifiers as described below.
- You can delete your account and data at any time from inside the app or by emailing us.
3. Information we collect
3.1 Information you provide directly
- Account information. When you create an account or sign in, we receive an email address (and, where applicable, a name and profile picture) from your chosen authentication method — Sign in with Apple, Google Sign-In, or email/password. If you sign in with Apple using “Hide My Email,” we only ever see Apple's relay address.
- App content you create. Depending on the app, this may include reading history, bookmarks, achievements, memory verses, memorization progress, prayer requests, prayer answers, notes, settings, and similar user-generated content. This content is stored locally and, if cloud backup is enabled, also in our cloud database associated with your account.
- Support communications. If you email us or use a support form, we keep the message and your contact information so we can respond.
3.2 Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data. Our service providers (see Section 5) automatically receive limited technical information such as device model, operating system version, app version, language, approximate region (from IP address), and crash logs. This helps us keep the Services running and fix bugs.
- Advertising identifiers. Apps that include advertising use Google AdMob, which may receive your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android), IP address, and basic device information in order to serve ads. On iOS, you can decline tracking via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt; on Android you can reset or limit the advertising ID in your system settings. We do not perform cross-app or cross-site tracking ourselves.
- Website analytics and logs. Our website host (currently Vercel) automatically logs standard request data (IP address, user agent, referrer, request path, timestamp) for security, performance, and debugging purposes.
3.3 Information we do NOT collect
- Precise location data.
- Contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or other device sensors — unless a specific feature requires it and asks your permission first.
- Health, financial, or biometric information.
- Information about children under 13. The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
4. How we use your information
We use the information described above only to:
- Provide and operate the Services and the features you request.
- Authenticate you, sync your data across devices, and restore your data when you reinstall an app.
- Maintain the security and integrity of the Services and prevent abuse.
- Diagnose and fix problems, monitor performance, and improve features.
- Communicate with you about support requests or important changes.
- Comply with legal obligations.
- Display advertising in apps that include ads.
We do not use your reading, memorization, prayer, or other personal-content data to train machine-learning models, profile you for advertising, or share with third parties for marketing.
5. Service providers we rely on
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the Services. Each processes data only as needed to provide their specific function:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage) — account sign-in, cloud backup, and cross-device sync. Firebase Privacy and Security.
- Google AdMob — in-app advertising in supported apps. Google Ads policy.
- Apple — Sign in with Apple and App Store delivery. Apple Privacy Policy.
- Google — Google Sign-In and Google Play delivery. Google Privacy Policy.
- Vercel — website hosting. Vercel Privacy Policy.
- PayPal — only if you choose to make an optional donation/tip via a link in the app or on our website. We never see your card or bank details; PayPal handles payment. PayPal Privacy Statement.
6. Data storage, retention, and security
Local app data is stored on your device using secure platform mechanisms. Cloud data (when you opt into backup) is stored on Google Cloud servers operated by Firebase, encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to backend systems is restricted to the minimum personnel necessary, with audit logging.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we permanently remove the associated cloud data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or to resolve a dispute. Local data on your device is removed when you uninstall the app.
No system is perfectly secure. While we apply industry-standard safeguards, we cannot guarantee absolute security and disclaim liability for unauthorized access caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
7. Your choices and rights
- Use the app without signing in. Most features are available to guest users. Cloud backup and cross-device sync require an account.
- Edit or delete your data. You can edit or delete content you create from inside the app at any time.
- Sign out. You can sign out from the app's Account screen. Local data remains until you uninstall.
- Delete your account. You can delete your account and all associated cloud data from the Account screen, or by emailing admin@fullyversed.com.
- Limit advertising. Decline App Tracking Transparency on iOS, or reset/limit ad personalization on Android.
- Access, correction, portability. Email us at admin@fullyversed.com to request a copy of your account data, ask us to correct it, or restrict its processing.
7.1 Residents of California (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, request correction, and opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at admin@fullyversed.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
7.2 Residents of the EEA, UK, and Switzerland (GDPR/UK GDPR)
Our legal basis for processing your data is your consent (for cloud backup and optional features), the performance of our agreement with you (to provide the Services), and our legitimate interests (security, debugging, improvement). You may withdraw consent at any time by signing out or deleting your account. You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, and object to processing of your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. International transfers from the EEA/UK to the United States are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.
8. Children's privacy
The Services are intended for users age 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at admin@fullyversed.com and we will delete it promptly.
9. Third-party links
The Services may contain links to third-party websites (for example, our YouTube channel, social media, or PayPal). This Privacy Policy does not apply to those sites. Please review their privacy policies before providing information.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If the changes are material, we will notify you in-app or by email. Continued use of the Services after the update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
